Tracker

Nothing less. Nothing more.

Coming soon to the App Store

Tracker is finished and on its way through review. This page will carry the download link the day it is approved — or write to support@justdistance.com and I will send a note when it ships.

Built for one thing

Tracker records where you went, so you can share it. Hiking deep in the jungle. Biking the Moab backcountry. Four-wheeling the Fruita high desert. Press record, enjoy the trek, and share your route when you get back.

Records the whole trip

A point every 30 feet, in the background, with the screen off and the phone in your pocket. Distance, elevation gain and elapsed time update as you go.

Pause at the overlook and the track shows the pause, instead of drawing a straight line across wherever you sat.

Exports as GPX, not as a screenshot

Every track saves as a standard GPX file that opens in Gaia, onX, CalTopo, Google Earth and most other mapping apps. Send one by email or AirDrop, or reach into the iOS Files app and take it yourself — the tracks folder is right there.

Speaks your language, in your units

English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Norwegian, in miles or kilometres — and you can override either one inside the app, whatever the phone is set to.
